چکیده
Aquaculture and marine renewable energy are two expanding sectors of the Blue Economy in Europe. Assessing long-term environmental impacts terms eutrophication noise is a priority for both EU Water Framework Directive Marine Strategy Directive, cumulative will be important Maritime Spatial Planning under Integrated Policy. With constant expansion aquaculture production, it expected that farms might established further offshore more remote areas, as high-energy conditions offer an opportunity to generate power locally using Renewable Energy (MRE) devices. A proposed solution co-location MRE devices systems Multi-Purpose Platforms (MPPs) comprising wind turbines (OWTs) provide farm operations well potentially shelter farm. Disentangling impacts, conflicts synergies MPP elements on surrounding ecosystem challenging. Here we created high-resolution spatiotemporal Ecospace model West Scotland, order assess simple configuration how these can cascade through food web. The evaluated following specific responses: (i) top-down control pathways due distribution changes among top-predators (harbor porpoise, gadoids seabirds) driven by attraction farming sites and/or repulsion/killing OWT operations; (ii) bottom-up salmon activity providing increasing benthic enrichment predicated fish particle dispersal model, sediment nutrient fluxes water column early diagenesis organic matter (recycled production). Weak responses food-web were found changes, whilst results showed high sensitivity drivers cascaded from primary producers detritus pelagic consumers, respectively. We assessed each effects ecosystem, discuss capabilities limitations modeling approach potential tool spatial planning impact could have EU’s New Green Deal.

Assessment of the historical, present, and future states of marine ecosystems and the effects that humans and climate have on the state of an ecosystem are crucial to the scientific advice required to implement an ecosystem-based fishery management system. Management of federal groundfish fisheries in Alaska considers not just the target fishery, but also the possible impact those fisheries mig...
متن کاملAssessing Regional-Scale Impacts of Short Rotation Coppices on Ecosystem Services by Modeling Land-Use Decisions.
Meeting the world's growing energy demand through bioenergy production involves extensive land-use change which could have severe environmental and social impacts. Second generation bioenergy feedstocks offer a possible solution to this problem. They have the potential to reduce land-use conflicts between food and bioenergy production as they can be grown on low quality land not suitable for fo...

Cloud computing technology is providing businesses, be it micro, small, medium, and large scale enterprises with the same level playing grounds. Small and Medium enterprises (SMEs) that have adopted the cloud are taking their businesses to greater heights with the competitive edge that cloud computing offers. The limitations faced by (SMEs) in procuring and maintaining IT infrastructures has be...
متن کاملFirst Principle Approach to Modeling of Small Scale Helicopter
The establishment of global helicopter linear model is very precious and useful for the design of the linear control laws, since it is never afforded in the published literatures. In the first principle approach, the mathematical model was developed using basic helicopter theory accounting for particular characteristic of the miniature helicopter. No formal system identification procedures are ...
متن کاملResilience Assessment of Lowland Plantations Using an Ecosystem Modeling Approach
As afforestation programs of former farmlands take hold in Taiwan to achieve a variety of ecological and socio-economic values, it is becoming necessary to define best forest management. Hence, we simulated mixed stands of Cinnamomum camphora and Fraxinus griffithii planted through a gradient of soil fertility and varying camphor/ash density ratios, but maintaining a fixed total stand density o...
